  15. help.  I got the suitcase 2.1.1. updater off of sumex or some such
  16. thing, took it home, unbinhexed and unarchived.  I then followed the
  17. instructions to the best of my ability, dragging a copy of Suitcase
  18. 2.0 from the extensions folder (am running 7.01 +tuneup on IIsi 5/80)
  19. to the folder containing the updater.  I launched the update and
  20. updated the app, then dragged the original out of the extensions
  21. folder to a third folder, replaced it with the updated copy (renamed
  22. to 2.1.1) and rebooted.  On reboot, I discovered my original app back
  23. where it began and the copy had been un-updated and corrupted, back in
  24. the folder containing the update.

  26. I tried removing Applicon, rebooting and redoing the same update
  27. steps.  same result.  I tried removing Suitcase from the extensions
  28. folder altogether, then updating a copy. same result.

  30. I'm not running any other funky extensions or control panels that I
  31. can think of.  what stupid thing am I doing wrong? (I haven't checked
  32. to see whether the app. was locked...duh...but I don't think it
  33. is...).

  35. this is a brand new IIsi, with an even newer logic board (the original
  36. was f***ed up when I got it) plus a Nubus adaptor.
