  13. I've gotten GifConverter 2.3b1 to read JPEG's and save GIF's as JPEG's.  It 
  14. does take a whopping amount of memory (5 megs on my IIci to convert an 
  15. 800x600x256 GIF to JPEG format), and even then the program chops off the bottom
  16. of the new file, although it doesn't LOOK like it until you close the file and 
  17. reload it....sneaky, that.  So hey, is the author of this excellent (if 
  18. bug-ridden) program out there listening to all this?  Cause if he's not, maybe 
  19. we should give him a ring...
