- I have also been having major problems with the new GifConverter. It ran OK
- the first couple of times I tried it, but then it bombed with a bus error
- (SampleLine Macsbug says). Now I'm getting miscellaneous system errors with
- other programs (including many bus errors and quite a few -605, which is
- strange because the programs have plenty of memory allocated to them and, if
- I try a second launch, they start up fine). I'm also having problems with
- disk blocks being improperly allocated (Norton reports and fixes them, but
- they seem to reoccur). I've reinstalled the System and Tuner, but the errors
- persist. I'm finding it difficult to track down exactly where the corruption
- is in my setup. I'll probably have to reinstall from backup. Sigh.
-
- Bottom line, stay away from GifConverter 2.3b1.
