- I've had a similar problem on two separate Macs, my work and home
- machines. The work machine is an SE/30 5MB, networked; the home
- machine is an SE, 4MB, not networked (except occasionally with ARA).
-
- Rebuilding the desktop has NOT worked for me (the obvious answer). But
- what has worked (most but not all of the time) is to use ResEdit or
- any other program that can modify finder flags, make the Desktop DB
- and Desktop DF files visible, and then trash them.
-
- This only started happening to me recently but I haven't really
- changed anything -- except installing the latest Alliance disk drivers
- (could that be it?).
