  25. Most of the disappearing files and folders occurences I know about involve 
  26. damage to parts of the file system's directory structures. Tune-Up 1.1.1 
  27. should "prevent" this damage from occurring. It won't "repair" the damage. 
  28. Your files and folders will continue to disappear.

  30. In any event, you should definitely backup your files and reinitialize your 
  31. hard disk (repartitioning should be sufficient, reformat if it makes you feel 
  32. better).
