Hi Folks - if anyone can help me with this, I'd be most grateful.
I have a Mac IIsi 5/40 and a recently purchased Quantum 105 drive
sitting next to it. I basically need the Quantum drive as a stand alone
bootable drive as I want to up-and-off and hook up to another Mac and
have all my system widgets and doofers in place as I like them.
System B7.0.1 /w tunup 1.1.1 install fine on the Quantum and I have no problems booting from it - selecting either the internal or external drive
and restarting gives no problems...
Except for the fact that I can't access my network when I boot from the Quantum. I use MacTCP 1.1, and any time I try to change LocalTalk to EtherTalk on the Network Control Panel... it barfs (in a 'I can't find MacTCP
but I'm not going to tell you that' sort of fashion')
I've rebuilt the desktop, removed bits here and there, replaced bit, removed other extensions but no luck
Any ideas?
Mike.
ps I too have a problem with using MacX on my IIsi - is there a problem with
memory leaks or something with this configuration (open question to anyone
but responses from Apple most welcome - I'm still waiting for a 'I'll get back
to you on that' from Apple UK :-).
