  26. The newly discontinued Powerbook 100 with 4 MB and 40 MB hard drive was 
  27. selling through Price Club for somewhere around $900.  The 100 uses a 16MHz
  28. 68000 CPU, roughly on a par with the Mac Classic.  2/20 versions of the 100
  29. can probably be had for around $750.  No internal floppy drive, but most
  30. I've seen include one external 1.4MB 3.5" Superdrive.  It can be expanded 
  31. to 8MB and an internal modem can be installed.  The 2400 baud modem sells for
  32. around $250; there's a 14.4kb model for much more.  The Powerbook 100
  33. features System 7, a 9 inch LCD backlit display, weighs about 6.5 pounds,
  34. and measures 8.5"x11"x1.75".

  36. Get one while you can.  It's well worth the price, and the price is awfully
  37. good.
