  11. I would like to connect a HP LaserJet II to a Mac IIci.  So far
  12. I have about 3 different answerrs to the problem.

  14. 1.  Just get a 8 pin round connector --> 15 pin RS 232 connector
  15.     for the HP serial port.  Connect from printer port to 
  16.     the HP.  (I don't believe this)

  18. 2.  Buy a apple talk --> parrallel cable with apropriate drivers
  19.     from a company in Canada for ~150.  This would not print
  20.     postscript, but would print.

  22. 3. Buy some sort of apple talk conversion box for ~500 which would
  23.     preserve postscript, but cost $$$$$$$$$.

  25. HP suggested version #3.  Note the Laser Jet II cannot be made
  26. apple talk compatable by added an HP Conversion card like in 
  27. a III or a IIp.

  29. I know someone out there must have an answer.  I would like to 
  30. try and preserve the postscript that the laserjet has by way of
  31. an Adobe postscript card.
