  12.   My 1-year warranty on my Mac IIfx system is nearing expiration, and I'd
  13. like to buy AppleCare.  But before I do, I was wondering if anyone had
  14. recently got it (for my configuration or a similar one), and I'd like to
  15. see what prices you paid.
  16.   A few questions: does the price for AppleCare go down if you get more
  17. than one year, and also, does Apple fix the price of AppleCare or do
  18. dealers set it themselves?  Unfortunately, none of the local computer stores
  19. around here carry AppleCare (although some honor it), so I haven't been
  20. able to ask the local dealer.
  21.    Any comments would be appreciated.
