  24. I bought one from APS for $599 since I needed a drive at that was
  25. the only kind they had in stock.  Its real quiet inside an
  26. SE/30 but I also think it is slow.  Maxtor has a new 
  27. model coming out (the 7213?) that is suppose to be much faster
  28. (bigger cache?) that the existing 213 and smaller too.  APS 
  29. received a shipment and sent them back to Maxtor when the 
  30. found a bug in the microcode.  APS is advertising the internal 
  31. version for $499.  When I heard about the faster drive, someone
  32. at APS said I could send back the 213 under the 30day mbg, but
  33. that would have meant I would have been without a drive until
  34. the new ones came back.  Too bad.
