- I bought one from APS for $599 since I needed a drive at that was
- the only kind they had in stock. Its real quiet inside an
- SE/30 but I also think it is slow. Maxtor has a new
- model coming out (the 7213?) that is suppose to be much faster
- (bigger cache?) that the existing 213 and smaller too. APS
- received a shipment and sent them back to Maxtor when the
- found a bug in the microcode. APS is advertising the internal
- version for $499. When I heard about the faster drive, someone
- at APS said I could send back the 213 under the 30day mbg, but
- that would have meant I would have been without a drive until
- the new ones came back. Too bad.
