  33.   I belive the original author was referring to formatting a HD floppy on
  34. a Plus or an SE (old one), which didn't have a SuperDrive.  So, the Mac
  35. couldn't be "more clever" because it was incapable of formatting the disk
  36. as anything other than 400k or 800k.  A Mac with a SuperDrive won't let you
  37. format a HD floppy as anything other than 1.4 MB, unless you cover the hole.
  38. (Or maybe Apple File Exchange lets you do it?)
