- You put it in very appropriate terms.
- The difference is that the MacOS is not a face to anything
- (accessible to the regular user).
- Because Windows is a face to DOS, it's constrained by DOS limitations
- such as 8.3 naming scheme. While PC users can't wait for NT (Microsoft's
- new stand-alone 32-bit OS) we, Mac users have been enjoing 32-bit OS since
- the first Mac II family.
