- I quite agree. In a previous article I posted regarding a PB170, Asnate'
- EN/SC and a SCSI monitor, I was having problems recognizing all devices
- on the chain. I ended up talking with all parties involved and a few
- other third parties as well. The eventuality follows:

- Asante' EN/SC boxes are not truly SCSi devices in the fact that they
- do not contain a SCSI chip, or a processor. The processor is optional,
- however, without one in the external device the processing power is then
- consumed in the MAC. From what I gathered, the Asante' software runs the
- SCSI data transfer and passes it on to the Mac processor. I ended up
- getting a different external SCSI ethernet adapter from a local firm and
- everything works great. Mail me if you have an interest in this device,
