  26. Well, I just tried formatting a 1.44 as 720 on the old NEC
  27. PowerMate gathering dust in the corner of my office, and it
  28. barfed all over the place (it is a rather old machine though).
  29. Last year we also had a batch of PowerMate 3's (?) in our student
  30. labs, which would quite happily format 720 disks as HD. Then when
  31. they came to me with a problem, my machine wouldn't recognise the
  32. disks until I covered the hole. Maybe it's just old hardware at
  33. work...
