  18. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Mirror 105's.  They are rated just as high,
  19. if not higher, as the APS drives (which I also considered when I was buying).
  20. The Mirrors are quiet and fast and reliable.  They also almost perfectly match
  21. the Mac's outer casing color and style (even the plastic "feels" the same!).
  22. Plus, for those of you with a IIcx, IIci or an SE/30, you can opt for the
  23. Mirror "portable" 105 (or 210).  This tiny drive is about the size of a brick,
  24. because it has no power supply.  It includes a special cable which draws
  25. the hard drive's power from the computer's floppy drive port (the cable only
  26. works with the aforementioned models).  So not only do you save desk space,
  27. you have a drive that is absolutely silent at idle.  I've had my Mirror Portable
  28. 105 for a few weeks now, and have had no problems whatsoever.  I've called their
  29. tech help twice (for some real techy stuff that wasn't in the manual that I was
  30. just curious about) and they were friendly, helpful and unhurried.  The normal
  31. 105 external is $479 and the portable is $450.
