  10. Hi Mac folks,

  12.   I have a Mac II with a Daystar PowerCard 030 in it and a SuperMac Spectrum 8
  13. video card, and a Exelan LAN card as well.  My question and my problem is 
  14. thus:

  16.   Every once and a while I have been losing the configuration of the Supermac
  17. video card.  It will power up and think that I am using the Apple 14" 
  18. display instead of the 16" inch one that is configured.  I then have to plug
  19. in the 14" monitor and reset the control panel data to the correct card and
  20. restart.  Usually when this happens one or more of my usual folder windows
  21. that I leave open will not have the correct size or location.
  22.  
  23.   My question is this, what is going on?  Is this some sort of PRAM problem?
  24. Is it maybe a battery-backup problem?  The Supermac folk have no ideas or
  25. solutions, the local Apple techs are such a laugh that they make my sides
  26. ache!  (One said that it must be a motherboard problem, it'll have to come
  27. out!  Yea right - ever hear of a P-RAM?  <Dumb look, then explanation of what
  28. the motherboard does...>
