- Well, I just took a HD 3.5" diskette, formatted it using FORMAT B: /F:720
- (for a 720K format). Doing a DIR B: results in it telling me that
- approximately 720K is free on the diskette. This test was performed on
- a Compaq Deskpro 486/33L running DOS 5.0. No muss, no fuss. I think
- Apple should consider implementing that second check you mentioned.
