- It looks like both my serial ports on my SE/30 are sick. I can
- not seem to get either my modem or printer to work. I have tried
- swapping the ports around and changing settings and nothing seems to
- work. This seemed to have happened after a bad storm where we ended
- up loosing power several times. I was wondering if anybody had some
- software that could test the ports so that I could make sure. Does anybody
- know what chips make up the serial circuit and where they are located
- on the board? Where could I buy new ones? I have access to a surface
- mount soldering station and could change them myself If I knew which
- ones they were. Does anybody else have an idea on what the problem
- might be?
