- It has occured to me that Apple may simply be running out all of its
- current design work, so as to get *some* return from all ongoing
- development, in order to 'clear house' for a switch in emphasis to the
- taligent product.
-
-
- Wrong. The taligent won't run only on macs, and probably will
- not run on 68k based macs. It won't be here until 95-96 either.
- The future for the mac IS system 7.1, and then system 8 with the
- micro kernel, both of which will run on RISC macs as well as
- 68020 and larger macs. Then there's A/UX, moving into PowerOpen
- on RISC machines (and maybe on the 030/040s as well) for the
- government market.
-
- The taligen thing is a third thread, and will most probably not
- be baseline, but an add-on like A/UX (PowerOpen)
-
- Pure speculation on my part, of course.

- - Traitor! This kind of attitude will get you nowhere around here. If you must
- know, it's not your boxes that are the problem, it's your lack of a
- sufficient number of boxes. Go out and buy something.
