- A clarification:
-
- I'm quite satisfied with our Asante internal ethernet cards. We have
- numerous LC, IIsi, SE/30, and Nubus models, running under System 7. The
- "feel" of the actual circuit boards is good. They seem cleanly designed and
- well-built. The secret to our success is that we completely ignore the
- Asante software and install the standard System 7 EtherTalk. This is
- possible because the Asante cards are "register-compatible" with the Apple
- cards. We haven't experienced anything like the locked LC flooding the net
- that was reported by others.
