- I am trying to interface a voice key relay with a MacIIcx through the mouse por
- t. I want to measure response latency to a stimulus presented on the screen
- (in color); the program I'm using to do this looks for a mouse click as the rea
- ction time measure. The relay box ( Lafayette instruments) was previously used
- with a MacPlus (nine pin input for the mouse). The IIcx has ad adb adaptor. I
- have several questions which I hope someone will be able to answer.
- 1) is there an adaptor for a nine pin to an adb? I have tried unsuccessfully
- to locate one.
- 2) what are the color codes for the mouse wiring? i.e. what does each wire
- control?
-
- We have tried to connect the relay box to a adb keyboard cable so that any inp
- ut to the relay box would act like a mouse click. So far, we've only go the
- mouse to move but can't simulate a click.
-
- Any suggestions? We don't necessarily have to go through the mouse port; we
- could go through the keyboard but the connection problem is still the same.
- I would greatly appreciate any suggestions sent directly to my e-mail adddress.
- I am under something of a time pressure with this as it is part of my disserta
- tion research and I hope to finish my thesis sometime this century.
-
- Thanks for any and all suggestions. J. Shelton
