- A client of mine is interested in getting a color laser printer and a
- color scanner for use in the creation of presentation materials. Their
- main output material will be OVERHEADS. Applications which will be used
- include Microsoft Word and Excel, Aldus Persuasion, MacDraw Pro,
- Kaliedagraph, and DeltaGraph.
-
- I'm interested in people's opinions on color laser printers in the <$10K
- price range. We have a QMS ColorScript in another department, but I am
- not that happy with it's performance. What are the 'favorites' at this
- point?
-
- In addition, a color scanner is desired for bringing in materials from
- the literature, photographs, and other output which cannot be mapped
- into the Macintosh world easily. Ideally, software would be included in
- the price of the scanner. Minimum desired resolution is 300 dpi.
-
- Total cost on a system is open, but I think it would be best to stay
- below $15K for the printer, scanner, and software. Any input,
- suggestions, or pointers are appreciated!
