- Of course 4Mb is a minimum, my personal minimum is 8Mb. But why waste your
- money buy giving it to Apple for over priced RAM or RAM that you will just
- replace.

- How about because third party memory expansion cards are much cheaper than
- what you can get from Apple. Same goes for most peripherals like monitors
- and disk drives. But buying memory from Apple is just too expensive.

- The big reason is because if you want an 8Mb RAM PowerBook you have to
- take out the 2Mb card that comes on a 4Mb PB and replace it with a 6Mb
- card.
