- You're totally right, you just haven't done your homework.
-
- A PowerBook 145 4/80 (for instance) is a nice minimum RAM setup.
- But what if you want 8MB? You have to pull out that 2MB expansion card that
- it came with to make room for the 6MB expansion card you need to get to
- 8MB.
- OK, now you have an 8MB PowerBook and a useless 2MB expansion card. What a
- waste.
-
- I bought a PowerBook 140 2/80 and instantly upgraded to 8MB without
- wasting a card or my bosses budget.
-
- I think that PowerBooks should come like the Quadra 700, with RAM on the
- motherboard and all the slots empty. Let the user decide what
- configuration they want. Sure a 2MB PowerBook is begging for a RAM upgrade
- but why should users who want 6 or 8MB have to pay for a 2MB expansion
- card they won't even use?
