- I bought an Asante EN/SC at the beginning of the year, and
- had considerable problems with it. I wanted to use it with
- a Mac Plus with a Rodime external disc but gave up in the
- end. It locked up with the disc light on or with the power
- light on the EN/SC flashing on and off, depending on the
- relative SCSI addresses set on the disc and the EN/SC.
-
- The EN/SC works quite happily on my Powerbook 100 or on a
- Mac Classic with an internal disc, but if I connect an
- external disc it locks up. I tried various external discs
- to see if it was a problem with the disc, and various
- configurations of the cables and SCSI addresses but without
- success.
-
- I'm happy enough with it since I can use it on the Powerbook,
- but I would be reluctant to buy another one while this
- problem exists.
