  14. I bought an Asante EN/SC at the beginning of the year, and
  15. had considerable problems with it.  I wanted to use it with
  16. a Mac Plus with a Rodime external disc but gave up in the
  17. end.  It locked up with the disc light on or with the power
  18. light on the EN/SC flashing on and off, depending on the
  19. relative SCSI addresses set on the disc and the EN/SC.

  21. The EN/SC works quite happily on my Powerbook 100 or on a
  22. Mac Classic with an internal disc, but if I connect an
  23. external disc it locks up.  I tried various external discs
  24. to see if it was a problem with the disc, and various
  25. configurations of the cables and SCSI addresses but without
  26. success.

  28. I'm happy enough with it since I can use it on the Powerbook,
  29. but I would be reluctant to buy another one while this
  30. problem exists.
