- Someone was recently discussing a way to keep the powerbook sound chip on at all
- times...
-
- I wonder if there is something similar for desktop macs.
-
- I have a pair of Sony self-amplified speakers that I use for many things, one of
- which is being hooked up to the sound port on my mac IIcx. They sound absolutely
- wonderful, but there is a minor drawback.
-
- They have a "power-saver" feature so that if they arn't used for 1 minute the
- amplifier shuts down until it receives another input signal. When hooked up to
- the mac, this causes me to miss the begining of some sounds, or miss single,
- short sounds entirely (like beep sounds).
-
- Is there some application or utility or whatever I could use that would cause a
- brief, low-level signal to go the the sound port every so often?
