- >Well, it is very slow, about 3 - 4 minutes per HD floppy, but you can use
- >compact pro to make a backup with. I forget which menu the option is in,
- >but you can do it. It will also filter by mod date. If you use virtual
- >memory, just be sure not to back up your VM storage file!
- >Works for me....

- >You can upgrade Fastback for $30. The latest version is a quantum leap
- >from your 1989 version.
- >As for freeware, there's quickback, available in sumex-aim.
- >It only backs up folders to a single volume (not multiple diskettes,
- >for example).
- >Good luck.

- >My favorites are DiskFit and Retrospect. Retrospect now that I've got a
- >tape drive. Diskfit does full or incremental backups, backs up to nearly
- >any media (including tape on version 2.0, but no longer to tape in DiskFit
- >Pro) including subvolumes of other hard disks AND HD FLOPPIES. Can select
- >documents only, system and app files only, or specify particular file types.
- >Can exclude folders from backup. Backups are in Finder format so can be
- >retreived even without DiskFit.
- > One big advantage of DiskFit is that it recycles old file space. That
- >is, if you backup a newer version of a file, it deletes the old version
- >from the backup and reuses that space, keeping your backup storage space
- >from growing all the time.
- > DiskFit Pro sells for $69+3s&h=$72 from MacZone. I'll sell mine for
- >$24 each, including shipping USPS Priority mail.
