  15. Have you checked the memory allocation assigned to Word? Assuming
  16. you are running System 7 (or 6 with multifinder), Word should have
  17. more memory than 2000 when you attempt to use one of the plug-in
  18. modules like picture, grammar, equation editor, etc. This is
  19. especially important with a large drawing. Keep increasing the
  20. memory allocation until you don't get a crash, you might have to go
  21. above 2500-3000.

  27. The first thing to try is to trash the settings file (you may
  28. have to trash all you can find, but the essential one should be the
  29. one in the preferences folder (Sys 7) or system folder (6). If that
  30. doesn't work, open the commands... dialog and click "reset" and
  31. then "save as" and make sure the settings file is being saved in
  32. the right place. Perhaps you have some utility like Boomerang or
  33. DefaultD that is confusing word when it saves the settings?
