- Yes. Canvas 3.0 can read CGM files and render them. There is also a freebie
- called gplot that will also manipulate CGM files. There are unix based
- versions
- and a mac based version.
-
- Personally, I was not impressed when I converted some NCARGraphics cgm
- files
- into PICT format. You don't say what you want to do with them, I assume you
- are putting together a publication? Then you might want to convert them to
- an EPS, or at least a PostScript, as there is another freebie called ps2eps
- that will convert postscript into EPS.
-
- And those files *are* useable with DTP applications like Pagemaker. I just
- did
- an atlas with Pagemaker using a cgm->ps->eps->mac->pagemaker route, and the
- results where quite acceptable.
