  15. + change working directory to wx).  I got into the site ok, and tried 
  16. + dowloading a few examples, using "binary".  However, I've not been able to 
  17. + get any of the files to display with any of several Mac GIF viewers- each 
  18. + says the file is damaged or in an invalid format.  A friend on an IBM PC 
  19. + downloaded the same files and had no problem displaying them with his GIF 
  20. + viewer. Any ideas?

  22. Go under the menu Custom. Select Suffix Mapping. I think there is an
  23. entry for the .gif extension. Edit this, selecting the application you
  24. want to view the gifs with. This is for v2.1b2. v2.06 has a less friendly
  25. method of doing it, but is similar, and is found under the Fetch menu.

  27. The file type has to be GIFf.
