- National Instruments of Austin, TX produce a whole line of GPIB (IEEE 488)
- boards, including one for MCA bus. There are others available as well, such
- as from IOTech in Cleveland, OH. The National Instruments board is more
- expensive than the others, but well worth it in my opinion. They use a custom
- ASIC rather than the standard NEC 7210. They also use another ASIC in
- conjunction with it, the TURBO-488, which greatly simplifies the life of
- anyone witing low-level drivers for the thing. (Believe me, I know all too
- well, being in the process of doing so now!).
-
- Std disclaimer: I have no ties with National Instruments, IOTech, or any
- other GPIB board vendor. These opinions are exclusively MINE!
