- It's about time. I've been hearing of this arrival for a while. Of
- course, porting AIX to a 4x860 board is probably no small task. But
- then again, it's just software . . . :=)

- We were using the Microway i860 card on an ISA machine about a year ago. Max
- possible improvement was calculated at around 40:1, but actual measured
- improvement was in the range of 10:1 to 20:1. Not too bad. It really help
- our processing. Calculations included many FFTs and was written in C. I
- suppose DOS merge won't be a problem, either. But . .

- I can just imagine what a 4x860 would cost you from IBM . . .
