  20. Yes, there are two versions.  The first SBPro came with twin FM chips for
  21. its stereo sound.  The second SBPro comes with the new Yamaha OPL chip for true
  22. stereo sound.

  24. How do you tell the difference?  Well, the first SBPro only comes one way:
  25. it includes the card, software and the MIDI connector cable.  Also, you'll
  26. see the words "Twin FM chips providing 22 voices" on the side of the box where
  27. it lists the SB Pro features.

  29. The newer SB Pro is sold in two formats 1) the "Basic" package which is the
  30. card and software   2) the "Full" package which includes the MIDI stuff as well.

  32. Make sure the box says "Yamaha OPL chip" so that you get the newer SB Pro.

  34. I know that one of the local stores here have both kinds so it's really 
  35. confusing to those who aren't aware of the differences.
