- Has anyone had any experience running PC Support/400 from IBM on
- a vanilla clone?
-
- I have tried to run PC Support on three different brands of clones
- and I have met with failure each time. For those familiar with
- PC Support, the component that fails is STARTRTR. Just as soon as
- you hit enter after this command, the machine hangs.
-
- IBM tells me it's hardware. Vendors say it's software.
-
- I tend to believe it is software, since my other network applications
- (TCP/IP, Novell Netware) work without a hitch on all the clones.
-
- This is a Token Ring environment, BTW.
-
- Any information will be welcome!
