  10. I'm having one of those maddeningly intermittent problems with my
  11. Zeos 486/33 wherein the machine hangs completely at what seems like
  12. random moments.  Everything stops and nothing but the RESET button
  13. can recover.  It's happened in Windows 3.0, in Windows 3.1, and in 
  14. plain ol' DOS as well.

  16. I suspect some sort of hard-to-locate hardware problem.  I would like
  17. to find some good diagnostic software for PC's that can really wring
  18. the system out and possibly locate a bad memory chip or whatever.
  19. Unfortunately, I am not real familiar with what's available in this line.
  20. I've had someone suggest CHECKIT.  I've also read about something called
  21. AMI Diag in PC Magazine (which is $150!!).

  23. Can anyone out there recommend anything?  Surely by now someone has 
  24. written some decent diagnostics for PC clones.  I'm willing to consider
  25. PD, shareware, or commercial.  What I *don't* want is an "exerciser"
  26. or "burnin" program that just runs until something breaks, but doesn't
  27. really tell you what's wrong.
