- PC Week April 27, 1992 column by M.R. Zimmerman
-
- "Intel Corp.'s i486 manual advises that the temperature of the center of the
- processor's top should not fall below 32 degrees or rise above 185 degrees.
- Baily said the 33 MHz 486 runs at 170.2 degrees......"
-
- If a 33MHz runs at 170 degrees a 50 Mhz must run around 175 or higher.
-
- By the way the column was about a product called the CPU Kooler which sells
- for $39.95 by a co. called PCupid (916)338-1338. I am not assoicaited with
- this co. so I dont know how well the product works but it sounds like a good
- investment to me.
