- I'm going from memory here, so please bear with me:
-
- I have done this with ISC 3.0 and a 1542B. If I remember correctly, if you
- install ISC on a drive that already has a bootable (i.e., already
- partitioned, formatted, DOS installed) DOS partition of 32mb or less, the
- ISC install routine will install a boot menu which allows you to select
- either the DOS or unix partition at boot up time. It's been awhile since
- I've had a DOS partition on my unix machine, so the particulars don't
- immediately come to mind, but I'm fairly sure it's automatic if there's a
- bootable DOS partition that the ISC install process recognizes. Check out
- page 9 of the Release Notes for version 3.0. It implies that it's
- automatic. All it says about the requirements for this feature are:
- "If you have more than one operating system loaded on your primary fixed
- disk..." it will boot the partition identified (by the FDISK table) as the
- active one if there is no response with 20 seconds.
