-
- Majeed Goldrick said the objective was to use "some Windows
- applications." I suppose the Windows applications in question have
- capabilities that are not available in non-Windows versions.
-
- Therefore what is needed is either:
- (1) non-Windows applications that are just as good, or
- (2) something faster than Windows that runs Windows apps.
-
- Alternative 1 requires that we know what Windows apps are to be used
- and why they're needed.
-
- I don't think alternative 2 exists, but I could be wrong. GEOS is
- faster, but it only runs GEOS apps, and that's not the same thing.
-
- By the way, my own interest in this is based on the fact that I'm
- using an XT clone, so I can't run Windows 3.x at all, even slowly. I
- can run Windows 1.0 or 2.0, but that's useless (I think). It would
- be nice to be able to run Windows 3.x apps on my system.

- Right on. Light is good, heat is bad.
