- Sorry, can't help with the free Fortran compiler, but...
-
- Lahey give huge discounts to bona fide educational institutions (and
- students, I believe) - so go and kick butt and tell 'em what you're
- about and why you're non-profit. With any luck (if there's any justice
- left in this cruel world?!) they'll give you a compiler.
-
- Lahey Fortran products are *good*. You may be lucky, but IMHO I think
- you're in for MEGA hassles if you go for 'free' shareware that does not
- implement the full FORTRAN77 standard - which Lahey does.
-
- The 'Personal version' referred to above, while implementing the full
- standard, restricts the amount of array space you can declare - which is
- very limiting if you have some serious programs to compile! So get them
- to *GIVE* you the F77L package with at least the Spindrift Utility
- Library. Their Graphoria and Spindrift Windows (not MS 3.1 compat.)
- might prove useful to you as well!
-
- And no... I don't work for Lahey - just a satisfied customer! :-)
-
- Good luck!
