  16. For a long time I have been working with an old apple II+ computer and
  17. developed several programs on it, which I also want to use on my new
  18. computer - an atari TT.

  20. Unfortunately, I don't have any communication card for my apple II
  21. - and I don't believe, that I will get one anywhere - so I can't
  22. transfer any program to the atari ( except by hand ... ).

  24. Trying to find a solution for this problem I had the idea, that it
  25. must be possible to connect the atari via the RS232-interface to
  26. the centronics printer interface of the apple II. ( The most files
  27. I have to transfer are program sources, i.e. ASCII-files ).
  28. Thus I would transfer my files simply by "printing" them while the
  29. atari should simulate the printer, but store the incoming characters
  30. in a local file.

  32. Does anyone know if the two computers can be connected in this manner
  33. - and if yes, what kind of hard- and software is necessary to do so.
  34. Another idea would be, to do the transfer to a MS-DOS-computer, because
  35. the atari is able to read MS-DOS-discs.
