  15.    We are trying to design a C type HW DMA device.  Prior to do this,
  16. we tested this kind on transfers on some machines.  Results should fly
  17. around 30 Mb/s: here are the results:

  19. ALR 486 33Mhz:  17Mb/s
  20. INTEL 486 50MHz: 7Mb/s

  22.    It works fine, but speed is quite LOW.  Does somebody
  23. has experience with C typpe DMA on EISA buses?
