- I have Hitachi external CD-ROM with 8-bit SCSI controller card
- without BIOS. Now I'm seriously considering of buying floptical disk
- for my machine, and I know that the ones that are available at this
- moment also use SCSI controllers. One of the complete kits have a
- controller included.
-
- I'm wondering if I could use two SCSI controllers at the same time in
- my machine or should I use only one controller for using both the
- drives? I thought the second alternative would have been obvious until
- I read that Adaptec has released a special SCSI controller for
- floptical drives. Do they (or CD-ROM drives) need special controllers
- or could I use some standard ones as Adaptec AHA-1542B?
-
- Thanks for those numeral replies in advance!
