  17.   I've been trying to low level format a ST-225 on my 386/40 using a WD1003
  18. (generic 16 bit HD controller) for the past few days and never get past
  19. cylinder 28.  I keep on getting a `device not responding' error.  I did get
  20. it to low level format on my XT with a WD1004A (generic 8 bit controller),
  21. but not on the 386.  Any ideas?  Should I have to reformat it to use on my
  22. 386 anyways?

  24.   I don't have a manual for the WD1003 so I might have some jumpers set
  25. wrong.  Anyone that has the jumper settings, gimme some mail.  I'm not
  26. interested in calling WD for help.
