  33. I have used a parallel cable over 20feet long, which was made using
  34. standard flat (unshielded) ribbon cable.  This DOES exceed the
  35. specifications for the centronics standard, but I have had no problems
  36. with it.  It all depends on the noise level (electronic) in the
  37. environment.
