- I recently got a Trident VGA board from a friend, but I
- don't have a manual (and he's away on holiday ....) so
- can anyone tell me what the jumper and switch settings
- are?
-
- The board has a TVGA8900B chip (not the current (I think)
- 8900C) with 256K installed (max 1M). There are jumpers
- J1 (interrupt control I think), J2, J3(actually two
- jumpers 1/2/3 and 4/5/6), plus 6 DIP switches which are
- accessibe through the end plate (by the connector).
-
- FWIW, I'm trying to run it with a colout VGA monitor (ie.,
- up to 600 by 480). I generally starts up OK, but the
- screen flickers during disc access, and sooner or later
- breaks up completely (often just after it is cleared).
-
- ta for any help
