- Hello netters, I recently bought a local bus system from
- ROYAL (and would NOT recomend them) which had a GHOST S3 local bus
- video board, supposedly VESA compatible. I recently bought links 386
- and discovered that the bourd was NOT vesa compatible. The bios
- version on my board was 1.6. I call S3 (because Royal was no help and
- I didn't know the number for GHOST) and they said to replace the bios with
- version 1.8. I called Royal and they finally shipped me the newer bios
- and everything works great. The reason I posted was because I figure
- I was not the only person who had this problem. To test for vesa
- compatibility you can snag vesatest.zip off of most BBS's.
