  15. I have a rather annoying problem with my hard disk and I would appreciate if
  16. anyone out there could shed some light on the problem.

  18. I have replaced the 70 meg hard disk (Imprimis) in my 386 AT-Clone with a
  19. Conner Peripherals 100 meg hard disk. The drive operates perfectly except for
  20. an intermittent 'lock up' during reading (appears to only happen while
  21. reading large files). This lasts for approximately 5-10 seconds then the
  22. machine carries on as if nothing had happened (the drive activity light
  23. remains constantly on during the lock up). The only program that I have found
  24. which objects to this behavour is 'coretest' (it intermittently reports a
  25. read error).

  27. I am finding this most frustrating and any ideas would be greatly
  28. appreciated!
