- I am considering upgrading my system and was wondering the following
- (especially after the recent spate of articles about the SpeedSTAR
- 24X, etc...):

- Does an ISA system with local bus slots (one for VGA and one for disk)
- have as great an impact on system performance as claimed by the
- manufacturers? Will a system with a local bus and a S3 card
- outperform a system like a G2000 with an ATI Ultra card (video only,
- of course, assuming all else is equal)?
