  12. I am looking for a PC power supply with a quiet fan; the one I have
  13. now is quite annoying.  Does anyone have any good recommendations for
  14. products, companies, and suppliers of such?

  16. For the record, the power supply I have now is an Amcer model STCU-250
  17. from Taiwan; this is a 250 W power supply with AT form factor, but
  18. mounted in a mid-sized tower case.  (Thus it doesn't have an external
  19. power switch mounted on the power supply itself, but rather a cord
  20. that connects to a power switch on the front of the tower case.)  It
  21. has two 6-wire Burndy connectors going to the (386/33) motherboard,
  22. and four drive power connectors, one of which has a smaller secondary
  23. connector attached to it (for 3.5 inch floppy drives, apparently).

  25. I am definitely prepared to pay more for as quiet a system as I can
  26. have, so I'm not looking for the cheapest possible solution.  I also
  27. am not interested in doing anything like taking the power supply apart
  28. and just replacing the fan; I want a complete drop-in replacement.
