- I don't know if this makes a difference, but does the motherboard
- documentation say that the larger SIMMs are supported? I've got a Micronics
- 386DX-33 motherboard in my Gateway 2000 and although 4 MB SIMMs were on
- the market at that time, the documentation only mentions 256K and 1 MB SIMMs
- and the Gateway folks themselves said my memory capacity is 16 MB. Not
- wanting to take any chances, I have stuck with 1 MB SIMMs when upgrading
- despite the fact that I could have got a 4 MB SIMM for less money. Can
- someone enlighten me on this?
